Late registration is now available - $65 per participant with unlimited individual and team entries.  

The Gay+ Lesbian Rowing Federation will host our third indoor rowing event, an ergatta, on Sunday, 14 January 2024.   We are expecting 300 – 500 LGBTQ rowers, and their family and friends for a packed, one-day event of individual and team erg competitions.  The event is open to everyone, age 13 and older, gay, straight, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, men and women.  Review our age, gender, weight, and adaptive categories here.

The event will be held at the Dula Community Center in Las Vegas in the Dula gymnasium.  The gym has a large set of roll out bleachers.  Yes there is wifi.  Yes there are changing rooms but no showers.  

We will offer individual erg categories as well as team erg categories.  Yes, team meaning there will be a heat and final for teams of 4x, and 8x, and the team 2x will direct to final.  How does a team event work?  Using the Concept2 Race software, multiple erg are assigned to one team, and the race shows the combined time of the entire team competing together, just like an on-the-water race.  It is NOT a relay!!!  For both the individual erg competitions and the team erg competiions, we will be using Concept2 RowErg ergometers.  

Registration will be through Regatta Central.  For those indoor rowers who have never used Regatta Central, yes, you have to create an online profile but it is fast and easy, and free.  Team erg competitions on Regatta Central will mirror a boat entry for an on the water regatta: a team (boat) name will be entered, and the names of the participants for the team entered. We have enabled club team names for ALL events so that participants can feel part of their group whether they are competing on their own or if they are with a group who is competing in the team categories.  We encourage club team names to be creative, playful, and mildly baudy. 

There will be no day of registration and we plan to close registration on 12 January 2024.  This year, we are simply charging a flat participant fee for each participant.  The fee includes all event entries, a t-shirt, and a Sin City Classic wristband.  The participant fee is $45 for early registration, $55 for regular registration, and $65 for late registration.. Early registration will open on 16 October 2023 and end on 27 November 2023. Regular registration starts on 28 November 2023 and ends on 31 December 2023. Late registration starts on 01 January 2024 and ends on 12 January 2024.  This year, there are no per event fees.  Everything is included in the individual participant fee.

We want to encourage everyone to compete in both the individual erg races and the team erg races.  That is also why we have set the distance for the team events at 1000 meters so that rowers can participate in multiple events!
